LIZ KILLORAN
I was born in 1961 and always enjoyed to
draw and paint.
as a child . It was my favourite subject at school and as a teenager,
I joined a local art club to pursue my interest further.
At the age of twenty-three I went to study
art and design and graduated in 1988. I started work as an interior
designer but was forced to stop as a result of a neural problem
with my eyesight caused by a form of multiple sclerosis.
In 1997 I decided to revisit the Art Club
which I had previously joined and painted again for the first time
in many years. Since then I have gradually started working at my
painting and drawing again.
I have been a member of Partick Community
Players, principally as a performer, although I also contributed
my knowledge of costume and set-painting/design.
I have recently initiated and run voluntary arts projects with the
elderly and disabled; an area of work which I particularly enjoy.
I have exhibited my painting occasionally
over the past few years and look forward to contributing to the
Red Dot Art project.
